Moments away from the Bell Tent field our fully equipped facilities barn sets us apart and makes your camping trip hassle free
A minute stroll through the orchard takes you to the Barn extension where the shower bloc, communal kitchen and ‘Rainy Day Room’ are located.
The kitchen houses a small fridge freezer, electric hobs, a small electric oven, a microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a large kitchen cupboard for storing food and several power points for charging phones etc. There is also a stove top smoker, great for cooking your catch from the local mackerel fishing trips. You will find a constant supply of hot water for washing up, as well as basic provisions such as salt and pepper, olive oil, sugar, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. A covered eating area with a large communal table is especially popular with groups as a perfect place to breakfast together.
Step through the door in the kitchen to discover an unexpected delight – a large, attractive room, comfortably furnished with sofas, dining tables and even a small writing bureau stocked with Old Bidlake Postcards. There are two further fridges in this room which allow for an individual shelf for each tent or pitch and freezers stocked with ice packs for the coolboxes. There are shelves of guidebooks, maps and tourist information to help you plan your holiday adventures. Whilst we always keep our fingers crossed for fine weather for our guests it is a perfect rainy day room with plenty of games, books and craft activities to keep the children entertained. There is even a film projector and surround sound system and a selection of classic family films, but please note there is no television or Wi-Fi.
The two private washrooms each have a flush toilet, hand basin and electric shower and there is also a baby bath available for little ones who prefer to make a splash.
The campsite rubbish and recycling area is found adjacent to the barn and there is also a washing line and a large covered storage area for bikes.
